Time-old Tradition

Taphuis is a place where guests have created many memories throughout the years. The ancient wooden bar has been welcoming thirsty travellers since the 1960s. The rustic country-inspired décor is rich in texture with rough stone walls, brick floors and beautiful exposed wooden ceilings.

Dining options are either indoors, set against an impressive, handcrafted bar and large roaring fireplace with yellow wood furnishing and sash windows, or outdoors on the shady terrace, complete with garden views.

Executive Chef Stephen Fraser’s gourmet pub-style menu celebrates time-honoured tradition, with every dish thoughtfully curated and prepared with locally sourced ingredients; the best of traditional South African flavours and favourites.

Open daily for lunch and dinner from 12h00 until 22h00. 

For the safety and comfort of all guests, Lanzerac operates as a cashless establishment.
