About this Tour

This tour is a good option for most of the year; however, we would recommend that guests try to avoid visiting Mozambique in the height of summer (January and February). The nights are warm and humid, which can be uncomfortable, and the hot days can top 35°C (95°F). There is also regular rainfall, which can be torrential at times, especially in the north, where there is a chance of severe storms. Cape Town’s main rainy season is the opposite of this, and June to August are usually the wettest and coldest months. Cape Town’s winter is mild, however, compared to many other cities, with daytime temperatures averaging a maximum of 18-20ºC (64-68ºF) during winter.

The Greater Kruger National Park and Mozambique are considered malaria areas, and we advise the use of anti-malarial prophylactics all year round. Please consult your travel doctor for advice at least three weeks before departure to Africa.

The Sabi Sands Game Reserve is Southern Africa’s premier private safari destination and is synonymous with frequent sightings of the elusive leopard. The reserve includes the Big 5 (lion, leopard, black rhinoceros, African bush elephant, and the African buffalo) along with other animals; however, we mention leopards specifically as these magnificent creatures are usually shy and rarely seen.

This tour is fairly flexible in that the properties can easily be changed according to individual budgets; however, the direction of this trip is not flexible, and, unfortunately, the itinerary cannot be done in reverse. To keep the trip as seamless as possible with direct flights between stops, all destinations will need to be kept in this order.

Seasonal and tactical offers and deals exist at most of the properties we represent. We have not included these in the calculations for now and will apply them according to the dates and season during which you want to travel. Please enquire for exact pricing for your intended travel dates. Prices displayed depend on exchange rates and may consist of various currencies depending on the destination.
